Chris Sternberg

Chris Sternberg has a career spanning over 25 years in the energy space with three start-ups and two transformations of 100+ year old Fortune 100 companies among his experiences. With a background of strategy, product, sales, marketing, and executive roles in enterprise capital SaaS and marketing intelligence firms, Chris has seen the ups and downs of the full end to end energy spectrum. Chris joined Environ Energy in 2023 as the president, and previously worked as the GM for Shell’s Power Digital Core where he led ambitious Energy Transformation from hydrocarbons to a global power service provider within the Shell Renewables and Energy Solutions Group.

Previous to Shell, Chris was the president and COO of AutoGrid, a global provider of enterprise SaaS that enables clients to deliver affordable, clean, and reliable energy by managing network distributed energy resources (DERS) in real time and at scale. While at Genscape, Chris served as a Managing Director where he led a team of analysts, engineers, data scientists, developers, and commercial operations to provide applications and market data fundamentals for the physical hydrocarbons supply chain. He also served as the senior Business Director of S&P Global Intelligence, a commodity price reporting agency. Chris started in energy as the VP of Sales, Marketing and Product Management at Aspect Enterprise Solutions, an industry pioneer in SaaS software for commodity trading, logistics and risk management systems.
