What Is the Unitil Small Business Energy Efficiency Program?

This program is part of New Hampshire’s NHSaves® initiative and is available to small businesses with monthly electric usage under 200 kW. Unitil offers a no-cost technical audit of your facility, identifying where energy is being wasted and recommending cost-effective solutions.

From there, businesses can receive substantial support to implement upgrades either through Unitil’s own technical team or with the help of an independent contractor.

Qualified small business customers can receive:

  • Up to 50% of the total project cost in incentives
  • Or $0.50 per kilowatt-hour saved, whichever is greater
  • 0% financing for eligible businesses (subject to qualification and funding availability)

These incentives significantly reduce the upfront cost of energy-efficient upgrades, making it easier to invest in long-term operational improvements.
