Environ Energy’s ISOS Group is Now Licensed to Deliver Global ESRS Professional Certification Training

One of Only Two GRI Partners Worldwide to Offer Official ESRS Training

New York, NY – June 5, 2025 — ISOS Group, a division of Environ Energy and a long-standing leader in non-financial disclosure training, announced today its new designation as one of only two Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) partners worldwide authorized to deliver the official European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) Professional Certification.

After years of providing certified training on behalf of GRI, CDP, and SASB, ISOS Group is expanding its commitment to advancing corporate sustainability by offering comprehensive ESRS certification training to professionals worldwide.

“We’re entering another pivotal moment—just like 2008, when we received our first GRI training license during the economic downturn,” said Nancy Mancilla, Founder of ISOS Group and Principal at Environ Energy. “Today, the confusion around ESG regulations and expectations is rampant. Our goal is to equip professionals with the practical tools and frameworks needed to lead confidently through this complexity.”

This milestone comes as regulatory bodies and companies around the world grapple with how to implement effective sustainability reporting practices. With the rise of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and its accompanying ESRS framework, clear guidance is needed—especially for companies with operations or value chains touching the European Union.

Even organizations outside the EU must now pay close attention to sustainability performance and disclosures, as supplier expectations and regulatory scrutiny intensify globally.

“With non-financial disclosure growing from just 12% in 2008 to nearly 96% in recent years, we must now focus on expanding internal capacity and strengthening the quality of reporting,” Mancilla added.

ISOS Group’s ESRS certification training is unique in its delivery and design:

  • Led by practitioners: Sessions are taught by active sustainability reporting professionals with deep expertise in GRI, CDP, SASB/IFRS, the SDGs, and related standards.
  • Interactive and applied: Participants engage in group exercises, case studies, and at times, guest presentations.
  • Customizable and private options: ISOS also offers in-house sessions tailored to cross-functional teams and sector-specific needs.

Upcoming Training Opportunities

ISOS will launch its public offerings in New York and San Francisco this September. Capacity is limited. Beyond these dates, the focus will shift to custom in-house training for organizations seeking to build internal disclosure capabilities across teams. Additionally, ISOS is partnering with Advantis Brokers in Bosnia to deliver training in the Balkans region, expanding ESRS capacity-building efforts globally.
